Hi! I’m Lauren — a former teacher and school counselor turned freelancer, working at the intersection of social-emotional learning (SEL), youth mental health, and education.

In January 2026, I left K-12 schools to pursue what I'd always been passionate about: connecting young people and families with the mental health care, education, and prevention resources they deserve. Since then, I've built a freelance practice around that mission in a few different ways.

What I’m working on:

I create and sell my own SEL curriculum on Teachers Pay Teachers and teach other educators how to do the same. On TikTok, I've grown an engaged community of 2,200+ school counselors, teachers, and educators, covering topics like SEL, youth mental health, and life after leaving traditional education. I've partnered with brands like Lenny Learning (an SEL AI EdTech company) to promote products I believe in, and I'm currently collaborating with an author to develop a K-12 SEL curriculum based on their book series.
